The jewelry parts have been lacquered to retard tarnish. After a period of time, depending on wear and exposure, the lacquer can break down, resulting in tarnish. Tarnish is a natural process. It doesn’t mean that something is wrong with the jewelry. If this happens please take a look at the attached pdf file regarding cleaning methods.
